Our goal is to strengthen and connect Syracuse, New York's East Area community by reducing stigma, providing education and support, promoting healthy alternatives, and establishing safe spaces.

What We Do

Our goal is to strengthen and connect the East Area community by reducing stigma, providing education and support, promoting healthy alternatives, and establishing safe spaces.

In the First Quarter of 2017, there have been 18 Rescue Calls for reported NARCAN Administration in 13066 and 13104 ZIP Codes (Fayetteville and Manlius EMS).

77% of Heroin users previously misused a prescription painkiller

(Center for Disease Control).

53% of individuals living with a substance use disorder also suffer from at least one other additional mental health disorder

(National Alliance on mental Illness 2012-2013).

EASN Goals

Encouraging healthy beliefs and clear standards in familes, schools, communities, and peer groups.

Promoting healthy opportunities that allow individuals to develop self-worth by bonding with schools, communities, and peer groups.

Helping familes with early problem recognition, communication, and management skills.

Decreasing availability of alcohol, tobacco, and drugs.

Reduce the stigma of addiction by raising awareness and providing resources for those who need assistance.
